- Study the Product List page and familiarise yourself with the different items.
- To determine the required gutter lengths and accessories;
- Use a tape measure to measure your gutter from corner to corner. Add 0.4 metres to each length to allow for cuts.
- Divide lengths longer than 12 metres into two lengths and add 0.1 metres to allow for the overlap join.
- Count the number of external and internal gutter corners required.
- Count the number of left hand and right hand stop ends required.
- You’ll need one gutter clip for each metre of gutter. Determine the number of gutter clips required and whether they are to be fixed to a timber or metal structure.
- Down pipes don’t usually need to be replaced each time you replace your gutters. It is however necessary to replace the top portion of the down pipe, often hidden within the eaves. You will require one length of down pipe for each down pipe top you replace.
- If you do need to replace the full down pipe a standard down pipe will require two 1.8metre lengths of down pipe. You will also require a down pipe clip and two nylon anchors for each length of down pipe you replace.
- You’ll usually require one tube of silicone for each 25 metres of gutter.
- One box of 100 rivets will be ample to cover the average gutter replacement job.
- Touch up paint is available for touching up the silver pop rivets if required.
